Combined Biochemical & DNA Tests
In addition to exclusively molecular DNA tests, G*LIS offers tests which involve both molecular DNA analysis and biochemistry. For example, the test for Gaucher disease tests for beta-glucosidase specific activity as well as seven different DNA mutations. Another combined biochemical and DNA Test included in G*LIS is for Tay Sachs disease, while Tay Sachs Amnio is an exclusively biochemical test.
