Subject: Walter Ray Knowlton

Walter Ray Knowlton is my maternal grandfather. His daughter, Charlotte Scidne Knowlton is my mother. Walter Ray served in the Army in Fraqnce during the first World War. Charlotte married my father, Clifford Dale Allen, in the 1930s in Raleigh NC.

If anyone can identify the ancestors of William Knowlton of Ohio we would really appreciate it as we have been stuck for some time now.

While I have researched the Web sight before, I have just today subscribed to the list. I hope to bring new information for the tree in the near future. My mother was a Knowlton, daughter of Wayne R. Knowlton, son of Don Knowlton. I am personally not certain as to the rest of the lineage, but Mom and I are going to a small reunion of the descendants of Don next weekend. I have taken the liberty of printing out each of the pages on the tree (whew!) for research purposes, and I hope to be able to fit our branch in there somewhere once we return.

One attendee to this reunion has visited England, including Knowlton Henge, and done a great deal of research. My mother has a copy of our lineage dating to before William of Kent (1 on your tree), so I should be able to decipher where our branch lies. God bless!
